Cox Plate Day is the feature race day at Moonee Valley Racecourse during the annual Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival and is highlighted by the $3 million Tatts Cox Plate, a Group 1 race for three-year-olds and over under weight for age conditions.
Cox Plate Day 2011 will see a lineup of nine quality races at Moonee Valley in Melbourne. Of the nine races scheduled to jump on Tatts Cox Plate Day in 2011, eight of the races hold listed status or higher. The feature race, the 2011 Cox Plate, is a Group 1 race while there are four Group 2 races, two Group 3 races and one Listed race on the card.
